The shop trades for seven years as You and Beyond. By 2017 the cabinets have grown, the brand counters have multiplied, and the name no longer fits. Ben rebrands as RUBIROX in November 2017, nodding to an earlier shop called Ruby Loves, and reopens to a queue down St Mary's Street. Pandora names the new store Shop-in-Shop of the Year that same year.
Nine years on, the Retail Jeweller Top 100 has named RUBIROX an Inspiring Independent every consecutive year, and on 28 September 2025 the Mercury Business Awards judges called it the best independent retailer in Rutland and Stamford.

A Pandora Shop-in-Shop is a contractually distinct space inside the store, with its own visual merchandising audit and brand-trained counter staff. The same holds for Thomas Sabo, Nomination, Swarovski. Every piece carries a real warranty, a real hallmark, a real provenance.
Welded jewellery uses a small electronic pulse arc, not a flame, so the chain link fuses cleanly with the skin two millimetres away. Ring resizing on a tapered mandrel keeps the original hallmark side intact, so a 9ct hallmark from 1986 stays where the assay office stamped it. Pearl restringing is on knotted silk, two knots per pearl, so a broken strand drops one pearl rather than thirty.

It is sized at the wrist or ankle, then a single chain link is fused with a small electronic pulse arc. There is no flame near the skin. The whole appointment is about fifteen to twenty minutes. You wear it through the shower and on holiday. We open the seam with a small clip if you ever want it off.
Yes. Pearl restringing on silk, chain repair, ring resizing, hallmarked engraving, and ultrasonic cleaning. Bring the piece in to the counter and we will quote at the cabinet. Most repairs turn around inside ten working days.
